Wow! Has it been a long time or what?!?!? Well, life has been quite eventful for us lately. For those of you who still check this thing and dont' know yet, we are expecting a baby at the end of January, Lord willing! Hallelujah! Praise the LORD! My actual due date is Feb. 2nd but it is a late date- actually past 40 weeks. We are so very very excited. I am almost 1/2 way along. I will be 20 weeks on Friday and I gained my first actual pound today!!! I have been sick, so my calorie intake has been a minimum, unfortunately. Anyway, God is always good, and we are so grateful!

I don't see much of a computer so it's difficult for me to keep in touch with all of you bloggers and facebookers. Know that I do think of you often. Those of you that have had kids or are pregnant or are engaged or got married- I have been rejoicing with you. My sweet husband keeps me updated as much as he can remember.

Rejoicing in the Lord!
Heidi

Hockey Game Picture

We had a blast at the Phila. Phantoms vs. Toronto Marlies hockey game. It was so fun. Something we will definitely have to do again for my Toronto-lovin' husband! :)

I know, I know...

I know you haven't heard from us in a very long time, and we apologize for not keeping you updated. I know some of you have been wondering where we are and what's going on.
Well, we are doing great, staying busy with our church. We are really seeing God's hand in many aspects... He's so good. We just need to be patient, faithful, and remember that God IS always working even when we can't see it. And for that I am grateful!

I've been pondering a lot lately how grateful I am for the Lord's hand upon our life. His guidance and protection are so amazing. I'm so thankful He watches over us, helping us every moment. There are so many times we don't even realize it, but for the moments in which I do realize, I'm grateful. God is ALWAYS good and for that I am grateful too. What an amazing God we have to trust, lean on, depend on, run to.... WOW! I truly am in awe of His mercy. No matter how many times a day that I fail Him, He's always there. I think of my sin, and how it displeases God, yet in His rich mercy He blessses me abundantly. It's His nature! Mercy! Yes, a part of His nature is His wrath also, but I am thankful He knows, understands, and gives us what we need-- even if it is His wrath.

We've had NUMEROUS exciting things happening within the Harney home. We have a new niece! Praise the Lord for Olivia Nicole who was born at the end of November to Tim's sister. She has got to be one of the most beautiful baby girls ever! She's just gorgeous.
We also BOUGHT A HOUSE! Whoa baby! That has been a very exciting step for us. Maybe someday I'll get pictures up. It's not as easy for us anymore. We settle on Dec. 27th and begin to move in. We hope to be completely moved in by the 29th. We are praising God ! WOW! What answers to prayer....HE gave us this house....100 %!!! We are so grateful and humbled and God's working in our lives on our behalf.

In November, Tim was officially installed as Pastor Harney. It was such a special, memorable time. His oldest brother came to be the guest speaker, and his parents came to surprise him. It was awesome-- what a story to be told. I had many of my family members attend also from the area, which was also special. It was such a nice time. Again- we are grateful to the LORD because we know this is all of His doing.

Tonight we are going to a Hockey game as a church activity. Tim is pumped! Those of you who know him well, know that He LOVES hockey, and this is his first time going to a hockey game so we are quite excited. Sunday is our Christmas Cantata (Lord willing...weather permitting!) Tim is the Narrator and I am in the choir. There is so much more to tell --We have lots more church related activites and things that keep us busy. We love what we do and are excited to be in the work of the Lord.
Please pray for us as we continue to minister and seek to please the Lord. We know that we have a lot to learn. We want to learn and be usable for the Lord. Daily decisions need met, Weekly problems arise that need dealt with; we want to handle things God's way and be wise with our tongues, etc. Most of all, we want to be holy; we want the LORD to be pleased with our heart. We want victory over those momentary battles. He is able for which we are grateful we do not have to face our battles alone. The battle is the Lord's. Pray that we will be obedient!

Hopefully, we'll post before Christmas. But knowing us, it probably won't happen... :( So, if not, we wish you all a Merry Christmas. Rejoice in our Savior. He is worthy! Don't forget about HIM in the midst of the "December busyness"!!
Much love!

Some Summer happenings....

Well the school year ended with blessings. Again, God is SO good. I am amazed at His sovereignty and almighty plan for our lives. These are my little ones who I dearly miss. God used them so much in my life. They are precious! Aren't they cute?!?! This was during our graduation practice!

Also, we had the privilege to go to Dave Jones and Sara Anderson's wedding in MN. What a beautiful wedding. We had such a good time, and also got to catch up with some dear friends- and meet new friends....

This is Lisa-- Luke's Lisa ;) Praise the Lord!

Before we left SC for PA, we got to spend another night together at an Atlanta Braves game with our dear friends the Ruleys.

Well that's it for now....those are the only pics I got copied over :( More to come.....someday !

Lots of exciting things have been happening our way. Our church surprised Tim this past sunday - he is now officially a liscensed pastor to marry and bury! ;) It was so exciting!

We are loving it here more each day. God is so good. We feel so undeserving each day too. He is so merciful to us to bring us here. I can't get over how much God loves us. Wow! Just leaves me in awe- speechless.

I had some more pictures, but I guess they did not copy over to my CD. Maybe next time I make over here to the library, I will make sure I have them to post! :( sorry

We are in PA and loving it!!

We moved to PA 1 1/2 weeks ago and we absolutely LOVE it! We are so happy!
We are living in a little town outside of Sinking Spring which is right outside of Reading. Tim is the Assist/Youth/Outreach/Missions Pastor :) We are very excited for what the Lord is so graciously doing. We love being here- God has given us such a wonderful place to serve with such great people. He is so good!
Last week was VBS- this week we have an outreach ministry at the Reading Fair that Tim is in charge of. They have been very busy days, but wonderful days.
Hopefully more at another time!

Praising the Lord,

Traveling Days....

A quick update-
We have been traveling for 3 weeks now; it has been a great time, a busy time, a relaxing time.....hmmmm.
God is so good and we are overwhelmed with His blessings! Wow! We have been all over PA - visited family, went to Hershey Park, interviewed at a church, and then to IL. We went to the Shedd Aquarium today and saw all kinds of interesting creatures. We have been having a great time with Tim's family. Tomorrow, we are on our way back to PA to CANDIDATE! We are very excited at what the Lord is doing. Even if we don't get voted in and this is not the Lord's will, we are grateful for the experience we had and the precious people we met there. I thank the Lord for the constant reminder to me that He is still working- He is always working, even though we cannot always see it. He's good.
We get to fly- HALLELUJAH! to PA tomorrow and fly back to IL on Monday. Then on Wednesday we will see our loved ones at Lifeway in Indiana. And, Lord willing, finally head home to SC on Friday or Saturday to make our travels a grand total of a month! yikes!

We hope to be in touch again soon--- and maybe someday, more frequently.

Thank you for your thoughts and prayers!

SCHOOL'S OUT!

Wow! what a time! I could talk for hours about the things I've learned in the last 10 months. It was a very hard time, but I am grateful because I knew God meant it for good. I am so thankful that God loves me so much that He allowed me to go through this time to learn things that has made me a better Christian, woman, wife, and eventually a better parent. He is always good!

It was wonderful to sleep in on a Monday morning, and not have to go to SCHOOL! What a blessing!

God has done a lot for us! Please pray as we go to PA for an interview for an Assist./youth pastor. We leave June 2nd to spend some time with my family, then on June 9-11, we will be in Reading PA with Maranatha Baptist Church. Then we go to IL to see Tim's family, then to MN for Dave Jones wedding, then back to IL, then to IN to see our loved ones at Lifeway, then back to SC. We will be traveling for the next 3 weeks! Please pray for us.

MISS YOU ALL!!!

Spring Break!!!

Yahoo! We are on Spring Break! How exciting. We are very much enjoying the rest so far, and looking forward to the week to relax some. We don't have many plans this week, except to rest, get together with some friends, and get caught up on school work. I will be needing to get a lot of things done for my Kindergarten graduation program in just 7 weeks. God is so good. We are so excited to have a break. Last night we had a party and today we slept in and went downtown Greenville with some friends. It was great!
Hope you are doing well also and enjoying yourself!! :)

Finally...

finally a time to jot a few words. Basketball season is over- Hallelujah. It was a lot of fun to coach together as husband/wife, but we also faced many hard times during the season. Although, we are thankful for the lessons. We recognize it is preparing us for future ministry. Our school has been under such attack. The power of satan's hold is sadly so evident.
Things have been going much better these last couple weeks, for which we are thankful.
Thank you for the many of you who have prayed for me and my family since my dad's death to alcoholism. God has graciously granted peace to my heart. Everything happened all at once and so fast, I felt as if I wouldn't be able to get relief, but my God is good. I could write a book about the things I have learned and all about God's goodness. He is so merciful to me. I was so concerned about my dad's salvation-I talked with a pastor at my dad's funeral and asked him what he knew of my dad's salvation. He told me that several months prior, my dad came to church with his new wife. (He was remarried in February) The pastor said he raised his hand for a decision, and later he went and spoke with my grandfather. He truly believed that my dad received Christ- my grandparents said they saw a change in his life. I am resting in this. God has given me hope that I will see my dad again. It's still so hard to believe he is gone- it still comes as a shock when I think about it. God's grace is more than enough! He's been so good to me.
Tim and I are doing great.... anxiously waiting for end of the school year! :) Kindergarten Graduation Program is what most of my time has been occupied with now (outside of just normal school responsibilities, of course) I have 9 weeks left until graduation. 10 weeks until High School Graduation.
The only other exciting thing that has happened to us recently is we have a new Nephew!!! :)
We hope to post pictures soon.
Thank you again - many of you- for praying and staying in touch. You are important to us!

please pray...

We ask you to please pray for Heidi's family. Her dad died New Years Eve (Sunday early morning). It was very unexpected. He was only 43 or 44. The viewing is on Tuesday 2-4pm & 7-9 pm. The funeral is Wednesday morning at 11 in Pennsylvania.
Please pray for peace and rest.
Thank you so much!
